The Girls - written by Peter Flynn, directed by George Iglar

Back in July 2006 the Courtyard Theatre, London saw the production of The Girls.  The show was on for three days to seel-out audiences and depeicted the life of five young sporting schoolgirls living in Russia during the Second World War.

"Russia 1942: Vicious accusations mar the final of an ice hockey tournament.  As Hitler's grip on the Eastern Front tightens, five schoolgirls try to cover up a savage assult.  Will the resourceful Natasha save her friend from the secret police?

Allegiances and honour are tested to the limit as the girls fight among themselves to survive.

Who was responsible for the attack - and who will pay for it?"
